hertz car rental

With the environment a hot topic worldwide and especially in the transportation industry, some companies are adopting environmentally friendly technology new. Hybrid cars and ever increasing fuel efficient diesel vehicles are becoming increasingly available to the mains. I used to work for a corporate travel business and many large corporations are seeking the inclusion of hybrid cars in their contracts. This was more to do with the increase business opportunities to be seen to be green instead of wanting to be green!

The issue arises when people travel and want to maintain their commitment to green cause. Rental services are those which provide these vehicles … or do you?

I have chosen (for Australia Traveler) car companies most important things you can book cars green ',' with. Driveaway Working holiday here in Australia, the most common request is for diesel vehicles. This is driven by cost concerns and occasional environmental concern. (Should not the other way around?)

Firstly that the range is Avis Car Rental.

In Australia, the vehicle is L give a Toyota hybrid. This car is the favorite for business rent, because it is being built by Toyota.

In the UK, there seems no green cars, but not diesel cars can be in the fleet, Avis not make them easy to find.

In the U.S., like Australia, the Toyota hybrid under XG group is available.

Second off range of cabin Hertz Car Rental.

In Australia, like Avis, the hybrid Toyota is the car of your choice. Book a group G and get this car.

In the UK, Hertz has a range of diesel fuel-efficient fleet, but no hybrids. This seems to be a common factor in the UK. Being an expatriate, I know the price of Toyota cars in the UK are quite expensive compared to other European manufactured vehicles

In the U.S., Hertz has a range of hybrids, although in some cars, I could not tell if they were hybrids or not.

Now, all the credit to Hertz as they do promote their cars ecological, as part of its Green Fleet. Juridique not seem to market their green cars at all, which is a shame.

In third place in the cab range is Europcar car rental.

Again, unlike Hertz, which appear to promote its green fleet. As for Australia to lead his fleet, vehicles have regular passenger, such as Small, Medium, Large, Prestige, minivans, sport, 4WD. Europcar list green cars as part of the fleet not regular however, it has unique identifier (Ihar) in Australia.

In the UK, Europcar does not appear to have any real bids. Maybe it's something you can apply to pick up. Personally, if I could book a green car on the Internet, what would a company that offers that service.

In the U.S., as I chose LAX Europcar have a limited presence. There were no cars I could find that looked green.

A defense of Europcar, in other parts of Europe, where they are particularly strong, one is able to guarantee a diesel than a few euros extra per day.

In this brief look, seems the only Hertz rental car company that is actively promoting green cars. Juridique Europcar and PAH appear to be little danger in their approach to a green fleet. While it may be a case of a problem of logistics and procurement, there is no reason why they can not defend their green cars.
I am sure that within 12 months, the situation will be that each car rental company will be actively marketing the green cars. Consumers can now offset their CO2 emissions in the various transport sectors, and I am sure that industry rental car so in the near future.

The environment is a marketing dream and I think that some car rental companies have lost the train to date. Hopefully their marketing departments will wake up and smell the cleaner air ..
